DIY PEST CONTROL, A new way to save money!
The war between man and pest has been going on since time began. During this war, and over time, the pest we defend our property from have thankfully gotten a lot smaller. From dinosaurs and mamouths all the way down to insects, rodents, and birds. Since those pest control people that came before us tended to risk their lives getting rid of their pest we have grown compacent and in fact look for someone other than ourselves for this service. It looks too hard, I don't know how to handle chemical products, or which ones to use. We have been slowly lulled to believe we must have a professional pest control operator to find and fight these pests for us. When, in fact, there is no law against you doing it yourself in most states. Some states have restrictions against homeowners using certian products like New York, Conneticut, Rhode Island, and California just to name a few. But there are good alternate professional products those folks can choose.
Almost all Americans do some form of pest control. The accepted figures agree that about 20% hire an exterminator. The other 80% or so of Americans have been purchasing non- professional pest control products from the supermarkets hardware stores and lawn and garden shops. (example- "Raid" or "Real Kill", "Combate" from the grocer), Sometimes these products work but these products are almost never as strong as professional products and most have no lasting residual, to keep on working for as many as 30 days like professional products do. Did you know you can purchase the same products the professionals like Orkin and Terminex use? I always had the impresion you had to have a licence to buy those. You do have to have a license to purchase professional pest control products if you are licenced and you charge for your pest control services.
Important FACT, Very few of todays pest control products are restricted from homeowner purchase and use. As long as each product is used according to it's label instructions, which is the Federal Law. Mis-using these products can cause sickness, death, or harm to our inviornment and you could be slaped with fines or imprisonment for criminal misuse. SOME STATES RESTRICT PURCHASiING CERTAIN PRODUCTS FROM USE BY HOMEOWNERS OR NON-LICENCENED APPLICATORS. You must read and understand the product label, then follow it's direction. Now you have an afforable place to purchase these products and supplies and get advice from real pest control professionals. right here in Columbus, GA and nationwide on their Online Store.
The rule most often followed by most US States is that you may treat your own property according to the product label instructions. If you are not willing to read and understand the labels DIY Pest Control is not for you. You may not use these products for profit unless you are certified by your State, county, or province to do so. Misuse of these products can be detected in many cases, becasue they leave a residual, soil can be tested for misuse up to several years. So if someone contaminated something like well there is a way to find out where the contamination came from, so READ THE PRODUCT LABELs. These product lables will will assure you get the most puncch from product application and will instruct you as to the products best uses. You can't go wrong when you read the label.
